Appalled at anarchy column Editor, I’m appalled at how willing your columnist Jason Combs was to admit he didn’t give much insight when writing, “Gentrification, Part 3: The Anarchist.” He says “Never having ever given much serious thought to anarchism,” as if it isn’t obvious by the state of the article he still hasn’t tried.…

Editor’s Note: Byrne bows out. What’s next?
Jolene Byrne’s announcement not to seek a second term as School Board President wasn’t a complete surprise given the many controversies during her tenure. But it does say a lot of things about the state of our community and our education system — few of them positive.

IF FACEBOOK had existed in the Civil War, people in Savannah would have made outraged posts about the CSS Georgia. Saving the Seahorses at the Grays Reef Film Festival
SEAHORSES are beautiful and romantic, perhaps the marine life easiest for people to relate to because of their similarity to their earthbound namesake. Mostly mating for life, they are also remarkable in that it is the male seahorse who physically gives birth. Unfortunately, they are also highly prized in Traditional Chinese Medicine for making medicinal…

Habitat for Humanity dedicates its 141st home and pledges six more in 2018
WHEN Lajuana Hendrix first laid eyes on the house on West 40th Street last year, it was just an empty shell.
