Savannah VOICE Festival's Dialouges of the Carmelites

The opera Dialogues of the Carmelites tells a fictionalized version of the story of the Martyrs of Compiègne, Carmelite nuns who, in 1794 during the closing days of the Reign of Terror in the French Revolution, were guillotined in Paris for refusing to renounce their vocation. A two-hour opera with two intermissions sung in English with Supertitles. Sponsored by Phyllis and Dan Huffer & Jan and Sam Durham.
