A self-described “southern cosmic rock” band, Back City Woods definitely lives up to the description. The production is ethereal and reverb-soaked, but the songs are distinctly southern. Fans of the Zac Brown Band will appreciate the Macon-based outfit’s genre-hopping sensibilities, and the show at Congress St. Social Club is not one to miss if you appreciate Americana music that pushes serious sonic boundaries.
