SOMETIMES, you just need to show your bartenders some love that goes above and beyond a really good tip. Hang Fire’s Clayton Walsh, also a co-founder of art collective Fist City (scope the album art they created for Crazy Bag Lady in our feature), is the guest of honor at this wild hodgepodge of an evening. And a worthy guest he is.
“He’s everyone’s favorite bartender, he’s been a leading role model in our community, he contributes to the Savannah art scene, he has an incredible mustache and always sets the trend on the hottest hairstyles,” notes Adam Intrator, a.k.a. Hawaiin Boi. “He’s so extremely buff and I would say is one of Savannah’s most finest bachelors.”
Raise a glass and drop the beat.
Houston, Texas’s Children of Pop make a dreamy, darkly-shaded kind of ambient house music with—yep—pop structures. Sway your hips and tap your toes with cool ease.
Hawaiin Boi is the solo project of Intrator, who also performs in Triathalon: as the sole member, Intrator crafts island-ready R&B tunes that highlight his airy, dreamy croon.
Hang Fire’s resident dance party starter, Sunglow, carries the festivities into the wee hours of the night. This article appears in Apr 29 – May 5, 2015.
