On Friday, May 12, the Tybee Post Theater will host an evening of captivating music as The Brave Collide, a contemporary folk-pop duo, takes the stage. Comprised of Irish singer-songwriters Chloë Agnew and Brian McGrane, this dynamic duo promises to deliver an unforgettable performance that will resonate with audiences of all ages.

Agnew and McGrane initially joined forces in 2017, combining their talents and individual artistry to create a harmonious blend of folk and pop music.

Their partnership blossomed after the release of a well-received cover of Coldplay’s “Everglow.” Encouraged by their strong friendship and musical chemistry, the duo ventured into a collaborative journey that has since brought them immense success.

In 2021, Agnew and McGrane released their first original track, “Somebody Just Like You,” solidifying their official partnership. The song showcased their ability to craft heartfelt melodies and poignant lyrics, garnering widespread praise from both fans and critics alike. Building on this momentum, The Brave Collide recently unveiled their third single, “The First Time,” which has been met with enthusiasm and further raised anticipation for their upcoming tour.

The Brave Collide draws inspiration from a variety of musical styles and sounds, blending them into a unique and captivating fusion.

Agnew and McGrane embrace a fun and free-flowing creative process, allowing their music to connect deeply with the souls of their listeners. Their performances reintroduce the power of a performing duo to a generation that may have forgotten the magic and intimacy that can be created by two talented artists sharing the stage.

Chloë Agnew, a daughter of entertainer Adéle “Twink” King and Irish oboist David Agnew, was born into a world of acting, singing, and dancing in Dublin. With her first TV appearance at the tender age of four, Agnew quickly found herself in the spotlight. At 14, she became an integral part of the world-class performing collective Celtic Woman, experiencing immense success as a solo artist and collaborating with renowned musicians such as Chicago, John Driscoll Hopkins, and Ryan Silverman. Her remarkable talent has led her to perform around the globe, including memorable performances for three consecutive US presidents – Clinton, Bush, and Obama. As a member of Ireland’s newest creative platform, ‘The X Collective,’ Agnew is currently working on several solo projects and collaborations, further solidifying her position as a versatile and accomplished artist.

Brian McGrane, hailing from the small Irish town of Navan, is a singer, songwriter, and producer with an unwavering passion for music. His musical journey began at a young age when he led the church choir at just seven years old. By the time he turned 12, McGrane had formed his own rock band, showcasing his dedication and talent as a performer. At 22, he was handpicked to tour as a piano player and backing vocalist for the internationally renowned Celtic Woman, a transformative experience that allowed him to hone his craft and establish valuable connections in the music industry.

McGrane has produced songs for notable artists such as Connie Talbot from Britain’s Got Talent and his musical collaborator, Agnew. Simultaneously, his own music continues to resonate with audiences across Ireland, the United States, and beyond, firmly establishing him as a respected artist in his own right.

As The Brave Collide prepares to embark on their first tour of Ireland, their performance at the Tybee Post Theater offers a unique opportunity for audiences to witness their talent and musical prowess firsthand.

With their soulful melodies and captivating stage presence, Chloë Agnew and Brian McGrane are set to deliver a night of enchanting music that will leave a lasting impression.
