With less than four months until the all-day AURA Fest, the promotion keeps busy cramming big loud sounds down Savannah’s eager earhole. This time it’s three local indie/punk/alt bands lined up for your amusement, including the seemingly tireless Lilakk (pictured).

BMFP fuse modern electro pop, the dance rock of Electric Six’s debut Fire, the pervy digital funk of old schoolers Foreskin 500, and an owing nod to disco and R&B to create a sound that makes you move. They call it “stoner disco.” It is.

JOE BUCK YOURSELF @ THE WORMHOLE

Last seen in Savannah warming it up for the mighty Weedeater, Joe is a one-man folk-punk-acoustic sound machine. He started out with Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers and Hank III, and learned much from those charismatic front men who know how light up the joint.

STRANGELOVE-THE DEPECHE MODE EXPERIENCE @ COACH’S CORNER

From their humble roots revealed in the “Just Can’t Get Enough” breakthrough single and video of the early 80s, to global arena stardom, Depeche Mode brought New Wave to the masses. Strangelove delivers the entire journey, with costume changes and that Gahan hip swivel.
