“An initial investigation determined that Takiera Owens was driving a Toyota Corolla in the eastbound lanes in the 1800 block of E. DeRenne Avenue around 5 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a Mercedes E 350 that was parked outside a residence,” police report.
“The impact resulted in the Corolla crashing into a residence and landing on its side between the house and the Mercedes. Owens sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Memorial Medical Center,” police report.
An occupant in the home was not injured.
