Chris Gaffney with Georgia Tech Supply Chain and Logistics Institute says of the three day conference, “It was in Europe last year. We chose Savannah because of the huge investment and commitment to logistics, and the significant industrial growth that’s here. There is a lot that goes on in the state of Georgia that’s not in Atlanta. The beautiful thing about Savannah is you’ve got one of the jewels, not only in the state, but in the US, in terms of the port of Savannah.”

Chris Gaffney is an Edenfield Executive-in-Residence and a Professor of the Practice in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He also serves a dual role as Managing Director of the Supply Chain and Logistics Institute (SCL) and Academic Program Director for Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE) .

The keynote speakers this morning were Fernado Liesa, Secretary General, Alliance for Logistics Innovation Through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE), and Takayuki Mori, Chairman, Japan Physical Internet Chapter (JPIC).

Approximately 120 people from around the globe will participate in IPIC 2024 while enjoying Savannah, including a gala this evening aboard a riverboat cruise.
