Because of expected heavy weather today, Art Rise Savannah and SDRA have issued the following weather-related schedule/venue updates to tonight’s Better Block Party event.
The Victory Music Park has been canceled. Most performances will be moved to the Wormhole Bar starting at 4pm.
The 41st Street Handmade Market has been canceled. A new pop-up market at Starland Cafe will be open from 5pm to 9pm featuring Strawberry Moth, Holly Oddly, Eny Parker Lee, Oolaloom, Mea Flowers, and Copper Seal.
The Back Alley Theatre has been canceled.
The Food Truck Park will continue as planned. Local food trucks will be parked on Bull Street and 41st with tables for seating.
Local businesses in the 41st & Bull Street intersection will continue with planned activities as weather permits.
The SDRA tent, featuring interactive urban design projects will continue but may be moved into Starlandia as weather changes.
ART MARCH LOCATIONS & THE TROLLEY WILL CONTINUE AS PLANNED STARTING AT 6PM.
The Welmont, No. 12 on the map, will be closed, all others are open.
The event itself:
3pm to 9pm: Better Block in Starland at 41st and Bull Street
6pm to 9pm: First Friday Art March in the Starland District
