Oglethorpe Bridge?

Maybe I missed it along the way, but why hasn’t somebody proposed that our big bridge be renamed The General Oglethorpe Bridge?
1. He was the first important person to plop down in Savannah.
2. There would be no Savannah without him.
3. Coincidently the bridge leads gracefully (if you don’t speed) right down onto Oglethorpe Avenue.
4. He was probably not a racist.
