• A man who just gotten out of prison told police he had spoken to a woman who had sold a car as “rock rental.” She said she wanted him “to tell the men who are driving the car that she wants more drugs for the car.” The man told police that when he arrived at the location, he saw a man lift a gun and point it at him and said two shots were fired. He ran from the area.

 

• An officer at Waters and 54th Street observed a car parked in mid-intersection. When the car pulled away, he observed that neither the driver nor passenger were wearing seat belts. The officer attempted to stop the car, but the driver took off. The officer sounded his siren and continued the chase, but the driver did not stop. He turned south on Live Oak Street and went down to 55th Lane where the road ended due to construction. When the driver exited the car, he was placed in handcuffs. During a search, the officer “found a small silver drug scale on the man.” He was arrested for possession of drug-related items. The man had a 15-year-old girl with him at the time. The girl’s older sister has legal custody of her, and came to the scene to get her. She said the girl had been told not to leave the house.

 

• A woman went to her grandmother’s house to do laundry. She observed that someone had been in the house. When an officer arrived, he observed a taped-up hole in the door where a window had been. Two suspects were identified after two speeding tickets belonging to one of the men were found on a table.
