Savannah Wind Symphony Concert

The first concert of the 2023-24 season of the Savannah Wind Symphony will be an exciting event featuring a variety of music. Standards in the wind symphony repertoire such as the finale from Shostakovich Symphony number 5, Von Suppe’s ‘Light Calvary Overture’ and Fucik’s ‘Florentinter March’ and ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot’ are featured along with several contemporary compositions that will tug at your emotions such as John William’s ‘Hymn to the Fallen’. The program will be presented Sunday, November 5th at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Armstrong campus of Georgia Southern University.
