WWS Tribute to Malcolm X: Interpreting the American Nakba
When: Thu., Feb. 15, 7-9 p.m. 2024
An evening of film, music and lively discussion examining the relevant legacy of slain Human Rights zealot Malcolm X, an interrogation of the American Nakba. From the trail of tears to the “internal colony”, long range, peaceful and episodic violence has occurred in the land of liberty. The removal of Native people and the trafficking of Africans has been a harbinger of current international slaughter, crises and genocide. From the Black Panthers, Malcolm X, MLK and numerous visionary groups, solidarity with the liberation of Palestinians looms large. Knowledge and empathy with one struggle bring together all struggles.
