The Jeff Beasley Band

This singer and guitarist is a busy guy. Since returning to Savannah a few years ago, he’s been a featured member of both Bluesonics and Two Blue (whom he’s still with), as well as this trio which bears his name. Expect plenty of blues and rock standards, plus original tunes that incorporate his country and Cajun influences. Fri., 10 pm, Mercury Lounge.

Bottles & Cans

Back after a lengthy hiatus, this local combo is known for raw and passionate takes on roadhouse blues, like the sort “popularized” by Chicago’s late Hound Dog Taylor. Thurs., Savannah Blues.

Eric Culberson Blues Band

Frank Emerson

Beloved Celtic troubadour whose solo acoustic shows have been a mainstay of this River Street pub for years. Mon. - Tues., Kevin Barry’s.

Trae Gurley's Sinatra Tribute

Local thespian and singer who sings live to instrumental tracks that replicate Frank’s lush, big band period. He adds his own feel, rather than aping the once-great vocalist. Wed., 7 pm, Tango (Tybee) + Thurs., 7:30 pm, Jazz’d Tapas Bar.

The David Keller & Jackson Evans Jazz Duo

Newly-formed local act featuring Keller, a veteran bassist who’s worked with the likes of “Gatemouth” Brown – and up-and-coming guitarist Evans. Fri., 9 pm, Jazz’d Tapas Bar.

Joey Manning

This “piano man” has made a name for himself in our area for decades with his tasteful interpretations of pop and rock hits. He’s an ace keyboardist and guitarist, and his vocal abilities are well-respected by many in the local music community. If you’re looking for an impressive mainstream cover artist, he’s your man. Joe Nelson’s Old-Time Jam

All string musicians are welcome to join in on old (pre-WWII) Americana tunes at this cross between a study session and an open mic – led by local musicologist Nelson. Mon., 7 pm, The Sentient Bean.

The Bobby Ryder Quartet

This singer has spent decades on the live jazz circuit, playing everywhere from the famed Peppermint Lounge to Radio City Music Hall. His show includes a variety of swing, blues and jazz numbers that’s heavy on the Sinatra. Thurs., 7:30 pm, The Jazz Corner (Hilton Head).

Chris Talley

This multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, etc...) cites Tom Petty, Otis Redding and Ryan Adams as key influences. He’s been based in Athens since ‘99, building a strong following for his country-tinged rock Thurs., Fiddler’s Crab House.

Kyle Shiver

“Georgia Kyle” was raised nearby, but cut his teeth on the Northeastern songwriter circuit. A member of local trio The Back River Ramblers, he’s worked with the famed Shawn Mullins, and his blues and folk-based ruminations are marked by dynamic vocals and accomplished fretwork.
