• A man entered a cell phone company and asked to use a phone. When he was told the phone could not be used for personal calls, he became disorderly. The man knocked two security monitors off a desk and struck a security guard in the chest.

 

• A burglary victim discovered that two cell phones were missing from her bedroom after “she found her computer mouse hanging outside her bedroom window.” She said the phones were left in a chest of drawers. The bedroom window screen was bent. The residence was placed on the police forensics list.

 

• A 54th Street resident said she was outside her home when another woman approached her and would not let her into her residence. She said the suspect began banging on her bedroom window. She told the woman “to stop banging on the window and go away.” The suspect then broke the window. The woman said she was calling police and the suspect got into her car and left.

 

• A woman discovered a laptop computer was missing from the rear cargo area of her vehicle after she had it cleaned at a local car wash. There was no sign of forced entry. The woman called the car wash but was not able to recover the computer, which belongs to the company she works for. The woman said she would attempt to locate the computer’s serial number to give to police.
