SHAMROCKS SHENANIGANS AND LIVE MUSIC: Plant Riverside District's got your St. Paddy's week covered

Plant Riverside District, is hosting the 2023 Shamrocks and Shenanigans Celebration from March 11 to March 19, along Savannah's riverfront at 400 W. River St. The nine-day event is open to the public and promises a fun-filled experience for all ages. The festival will showcase free live music by more than 30 bands on two riverfront stages, family-friendly activities, and photo opportunities with Lucky the Leprechaun. There will also be festive food and drink options for all ages, and St. Patrick's Day-themed merchandise will be available.

The third annual Shamrocks and Shenanigans celebration is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy incredible live entertainment on two stages, indulge in delectable cuisine and drinks, and have fun with family and friends. “We warmly invite area residents and guests to join us to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Plant Riverside District, which is widely known as Savannah’s Entertainment District, from March 11 through 19," said Richard C. Kessler, Chairman, and CEO of The Kessler Collection.

The festivities will kick off on March 11 with free live music by Lyn Avenue, Natalie Goodman, Bob Taylor, the Irish Pipe and Drums Corps, and the Nick Poulin Band. A special Shamrock the Riverwalk Lighting Ceremony will follow, featuring The Kessler Collection’s Chairman and CEO Richard C. Kessler, and will include the Irish Pipe and Drums Corps, the official lighting ceremony, and a live performance by the Nick Poulin Band.

On Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16, the legendary Celtic Tenors will take the stage at District Live, showcasing stunning Celtic songs, exhilarating classics, a capella music, and popular contemporary songs. Tickets to see this internationally acclaimed trio are currently available.

Throughout the week, a wide range of artists will perform free live music on Plant Riverside District’s outdoor stages daily, including The Eric Culberson Band, Voodoo Soup, the Natalie Goodman Band, the Parris Island Marine Band, and the Rockland County Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums Band. The Shindig Savannah Dance Group will also perform live.

On St. Patrick’s Day, the riverfront will feature free live outdoor entertainment, including the Whitley Deputy Band, the Nick Poulin Band, the Marcus Gullen Band, and Smokey Jones and The 3 Dollar Pistols. Irish-themed food and drink specials will be available throughout the day and night, and Myrtle and Rose will host a live performance by JD Music Group.

Electric Moon Skytop Lounge will host a lively Shamrocks and Shenanigans Party on Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18, featuring Voodoo Soup and DJ Lil G. The weekend will end with free live music, family-friendly activities, Irish-themed food and drink, and a St. Patrick’s Cookie Decorating experience.
