To put it simply, SCAD’s annual celluloid celebration absolutely crushed it this year. After a couple of years with a heavy emphasis on documentary films, SFF bagged all the smash hits and Oscar hopefuls of 2016, letting Savannahians catch Moonlight, La La Land, Arrival, Jackie, Bleed For This, and more before they hit the multiplexes.
Townies and SCAD students also had fun hunting down celeb guests, including Moonlight’s Mahershala Ali, who went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Molly Shannon, Miles Teller, David Harbour, and others.
