The Georgia Presidential Primary is March 12. Early voting has already begun.
Early voting in the Georgia Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) began on Feb. 19 across the Peach State ahead of Georgia’s Election Day on March 12. The PPP gives voters a chance to select a nominee to represent the party (either Democrat or Republican) of their choice in the November presidential election.

While early voting is scheduled to run through March 8, citizens can also wait to vote on March 12 at polling locations beginning at 7am and concluding at 7pm. The Georgia PPP ballot could also include some specific local election options, for some.

Although a lengthy list of candidates are named, the republican ballot for the Georgia PPP includes only two nominees currently still standing in the race for a presidential nod. Former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley are the pair of active republicans going head-to-head for the GOP nomination.

Other one-time GOP candidates who have since dropped out of the race, yet still appear on the republican ballot, include: Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Haley is campaigning this week in the state she once governed, South Carolina. She was scheduled to make a campaign stop in Beaufort on Tuesday to speak with Lowcountry voters before moving towards the central portion of the state.

President Joe Biden and U.S. Representative Dean Phillips (Minnesota) join author Marianne Williamson as the listed democrats on their party's ballot. More information, including polling locations and absentee ballot steps, can be found online at www.sos.ga.gov or by calling 404-656-2871.

Election day across the country is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
