• A woman told police that as she drove north on Waters Avenue, some juveniles were throwing rocks. As she went into the intersection at Park Avenue, she heard a rock hit her windshield. She followed the juveniles to East 31st Street and confronted one of them. As she spoke to the juvenile, an elderly man came out and began shouting verbal abuse at the woman. Even after she retreated to her vehicle, she said the man continued to shout. She left the scene and observed the juveniles also leaving the scene, leading her to think they do not live there. She was given a case report number.

 

• A woman left her West Bay Street motel room to go swimming. Before she left, she checked her wallet, which had $100, then placed it in her suitcase, which she put in a closet. When she and her roommates returned to the room, the wallet was on the floor by the bed and the money was missing. She notified the manager, who called police. The woman told police the only people she observed as she left the room were two maids who were cleaning rooms.

 

• Police were called to a West Congress Street nightclub on a report of a fight in progress. When they arrived, they witnessed the offender engaging in an altercation. An officer grabbed him from behind and advised that he was a police officer and told the man to stop fighting. Then he placed handcuffs on the suspect and walked him out of the business. The man wasextremely intoxicated. He said someone had attempted to steal his wallet. Due to the large crowd, the officer was unable to find the second offender. The suspect produced a picture ID that looked nothing like him. It was also expired. The officer learned the man was only 20 years old. He was arrested for public fighting, possession of a fraudulent ID and possession of alcohol under 21 years of age.
