• Police reported to a local hospital in response to a complaint of battery. A woman told police that a hospital worker was removing her hospital name bracelet with a pair of scissors when she nicked the woman’s hand. The woman alleged the worker then became agitated and threw the scissors at her thigh. However, the police saw so evidence of visible trauma on her wrist, arm, hand or thigh. Two witnesses gave different stories about how the incident occurred. The first witness stated that the worker handed her the scissors, while the second witness was not present, but heard the conversation that occurred over the telephone.



• A group of children were playing at a playground at an apartment complex

on Abercorn Street when one of the youngsters saw his 7-year-old brother

begin fighting with another little boy. He was trying to break up the fight between the younger boys when two residents of one of the apartments came out. The older boy said the man pushed him to the ground, and the woman choked him. The boy ran home and told his mother, and she called police. The boy had a small scratch on his left arm.



• A woman who owed $70 to a man tried to pay the money by visiting his workplace, a fast-food restaurant on Mall Boulevard. She said the man told her to bring the money to the restaurant. She told police she gave the man $100 and asked for change. He got another employee to get change, then told the woman she owed him $30 more. She asked him for what, and he began cursing at another employee who was listening to the conversation. The woman told the man not to yell at others when he was mad at her. She said he pushed her and told her to bring the money by his house and never return to his workplace. The man had minor scratches from the altercation. The police advised both of warrant procedures.
