This popular annual event by Asbury Memorial Church includes live entertainment and a Country Café for the sale of pecan-themed goodies, beverages and local honey. The honey is harvested from Asbury’s “heavenly” bees, which invaded the church in 2011, and all pecans at the Pecan & Honey Harvest are of the Georgia-grown “Elliott” variety and have just been harvested and shelled in late Oct. The harvest is made possible by helpful volunteers, including Asbury’s Green Team and committee chair Bill Jahn.
