The Averitt Center for the Arts and Project Recovery seek the assistance of local actors in creating the play, Because You Asked, a dramatic adaptation of true-life stories of addiction and recovery. This production will inform audiences of the risks and effects of substance abuse, as well as provide insight to its human tragedy. Explore the art of collaboration and theatrical story-telling with New York-based award-winning artists and educators Katie Pearl and David Dannenfelser. Your participation in this workshop helps develop Because You Asked which will premiere in Statesboro, Georgia, in September 2019.
