World Affairs program: Africa on the Rise: How the Forgotten Continent is more Important than ever to the United States

Savannah Council on World Affairs and Sylvester & Co. are sponsoring this program that will examine the challenges of a rising Africa facing America's foreign policy. The speaker is Dr. Todd Moss, VP for Programs and Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development. His work focuses on U.S.-Africa relations and financial issues facing sub-Saharan Africa, including policies that affect private investment, debt, and aid. He currently is working on cash transfers in new oil economies, new ideas for structuring U.S. development policy, and the future of the World Bank’s fund for the poorest countries.
