Senior Citizens Inc to Celebrate 2024 “Legends, Leaders, and Life Well Lived Award” Honorees

On Thursday, May 9 at 11:30 am at the Palmetto Club in The Landings, Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people age successfully will honor three individuals for their significant impact on the community and present them with the Legends, Leaders, and Life Well Lived Award. This year marks the 7th anniversary of this heartwarming luncheon celebration.

SCI’s Legends, Leaders and Life Well Lived Luncheon is a special annual event where individuals who have made a significant impact on their community, serve as an inspiration through their remarkable contributions and embody what it means to have a life well lived. This year SCI is  honoring three individuals who truly exemplify a live well-lived:

Sister Margaret Beatty, R.S.M – a champion for the poor and underserved, especially those who lack adequate healthcare, education, housing, and job skills. Better known as Sister Margie – this individual has lived her life to serve others.

Kathy Levitt – a trailblazer whose impact on the community is far reaching.  Best known as a founding member of the St. Joseph’s/Candler SmartWoman Expo and Luncheon®, she’s helped raise millions of dollars to provide mammograms across the region.

Cliff McCurry – is both a business and community leader volunteering his time and talents to dozens of organizations throughout the community primarily focusing his efforts on mentoring the next generation of leaders.

The mission at Senior Citizens Inc. is to help people age successfully and the Legends, Leaders, and Life Well Lived Luncheon perfectly encapsulates the essence of what it means to lead a “life well lived”.  Each of the 2024 honorees perfectly reflect the strength, resilience, and community spirit SCI strives to promote.
