SAVANNAH –Savannah Police detectives are investigating a May 8 shooting in the 2100 block of Alabama Avenue that left one adult male deceased.

Officers responded to the scene at around 3:40 a.m. based on ShotSpotter reports. When they arrived, police found the victim unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was treated on the scene and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Detectives were able to gather evidence at the scene and interview witnesses.  No arrests have been made at this time.  Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
