The 2017 edition of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival marks 20 years for the event.

Revival Fest — Enjoy live music, BBQ, craft beer, and more. Sept. 30, 2-11 p.m. $34.50 Georgia State Railroad Museum.

First Friday in Starland— A monthly art walk featuring galleries, restaurants, boutiques and more. Free first Friday of every month, 6-9 p.m. Starland District, 40th and Bull.

Savannah Brunch Festival— Savannah’s best establishments will create brunch inspired bites while guests indulge and enjoy beer, mimosas and Bloody Mary’s from our spirit sponsors. Sun., Oct. 1, 12:30 p.m. Red Gate Farms, 136 Red Gate Farms Trail

Tybee Pirate Fest— Turn yourself into a pirate and spend the weekend on Tybee. There are lots of activities for families, loads of entertainment and a Thieves Market filled with treasure. The festival grounds have grown to encompass the entire South Beach Parking Lot by the Tybee Pier from Tybrisa Street to 18th Street. Oct. 5-8. tybeeisland.com/pirates

Savannah Zine Fest— The first Savannah Zine Fest will bring together DIY enthusiasts, zine-makers and independent publishers for a day of selling, buying and trading. Free Sat., Oct. 7, 10 a.m. PULP Bookstore and Gallery, 412 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Food Day Festival— The Savannah Food Day Festival is the largest in the nation and celebrates sustainable, accessible and healthy foods. The free event includes a farmers market, educational workshops, top local bands, art activities, food vendors and more. Greek Festival— The 67th annual celebration will feature homemade Greek food, desserts, drinks, dancing and music. Guests may also enjoy visiting the outdoor marketplace and taking guided church tours. Oct. 12-14, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Savannah Hellenic Center, 14 West Anderson Street.

Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival— Headliners 38 Special. Sample some of the best seafood you will find anywhere, enjoy live entertainment, a carnival and arts and crafts. Graveface Fright Fest— Graveface and the Tybee Post Theater present the Graveface Fright Fest film festival. From 1pm-close the beautiful and historic Tybee Post Theatre will be turned into a Halloween-themed spectacle. $20 in advance, $25 day of the show; $50 VIP package. Hopped Up on Georgia Brews— Hopped Up on Georgia Brews craft beer tasting will take place along the Savannah Waterfront featuring offerings from a variety of Georgia Breweries. Midnight Garden Ride— This casually-paced, police-escorted ride travels through Savannah’s most beautiful neighborhoods, then returns to Grayson Stadium for a concert, food and beverages, and fun. Savannah Pride/Pride in Savannah: Downtown Takeover— Celebrate the LGBT community at this three-day event with fun, music, and friends. Oct. 26-28. Oct. 26 is the Masqueerade Ball at Mansion on Forsyth starting at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 sees live music in Ellis Square starting at 2:45 pm featuring headliner Estelle. SCAD Savannah Film Festival— The Savannah College of Art and Design presents the annual festival, filled with cinematic creativity from both award-winning professionals and emerging student filmmakers. Each year more than 50,000 people attend the eight-day SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Shalom Y'all Jewish Food Festival— Attendees get to enjoy a taste of ethnic Jewish cuisine as well as live music and dancing. Free Sun., Oct. 29, 11 a.m. Monterey Square

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon— The popular annual run includes a marathon, half marathon, 5k, 1 mile, and a relay. Headliners at free concert in Forsyth Park at noon are Fitz and the Tantrums. Nov. 4-5. runrocknroll.com

Savannah Food and Wine Festival— Nov. 6-12.  The Savannah Food & Wine Festival celebrates the best the south has to offer in the quintessential southern, hostess city.
